Pitch update

DDB London has pulled out of the ongoing Heinz pitch, leaving Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO as the bookies' favourite to scoop what must be one of the tastiest domestic accounts of the year. Last week's strategic pitch - described by one agency as a glorified chemistry meeting - will yield a result next week.

Freeview has whittled its shortlist of creative agencies down to two: Delaney Lund Knox Warren & Partners and St Luke's have made the cut, while CHI & Partners and Farm fell at the research hurdle last week.

Meanwhile, the BBC has narrowed its search for digital roster agencies to six. The Corporation has given the nod to Agency Republic, Good Technology, 20:20 London, glue London, Play and Start Creative. The roster will be finalised in November and the successful agencies will begin working on web strategy and online advertising early next year.

Budweiser's long-winded search for an agency to handle its £3.5 million UK account grinds on. The US brewing giant is relying heavily on research to police the process. DDB London, Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R and Fallon are involved, but a winner won't be named until early next year.

The online gambling and gaming website Unibet has shortlisted Ogilvy, WWAV Rapp Collins, Euro RSCG London and TBWA\London for its £20 million account.
