Pitch update

It's been almost two years coming, but it has finally happened: Dare has lost a pitch.

The agency, that has been winning everything it has pitched for since 2006, has been knocked out of the McDonald's review, along with Tribal DDB. This leaves AKQA and Avenue A left to battle it out for the account.

After getting on to the Homebase list, McCann Erickson has also secured a place in the last four of the Lotto review. It will be joined by Beattie McGuinness Bungay, Fallon and the incumbent, Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO. However, the question on everybody's lips is whether the Lotto marketing team took the opportunity to say "It could be you" when informing the agencies of their success.

The Lotto contest is a real six-pointer between the incumbent, AMV and McCann, which will rocket up the Nielsen billings list if it picks up both accounts.

Bartle Bogle Hegarty, JWT, Leo Burnett and Arc are all waiting to find out if they have picked up the global Baileys business, with Diageo promising a result by the end of the week.

Staying on the booze - Partners Andrews Aldridge and Wunderman have exited the Glenfiddich pitch, leaving Kitcatt Nohr Alexander Shaw and WWAV Rapp Collins Edinburgh in the running.

Neff has dumped M&C Saatchi out of the race for its business, leaving Shop and Leagas Delaney to battle it out. Meanwhile, Axa has knocked TBWA\London and VCCP out of its hunt for an agency, leaving the incumbent, WFCA, and Euro RSCG London to present more work.

The Marks & Spencer DM pitchlist is Proximity, Clark McKay & Walpole and Joshua, while Legal & General has drawn up a longlist of agencies for its £8 million media account, which includes Starcom and Mediaedge:cia.
