Pitch update

Twinings appears to be handling its creative pitch with Official Secrets Act-style security (no, we're not sure why, either). Anyway, Campaign has tortured the following shortlist out of the industry: Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO, Adam & Eve and WCRS will battle it out.

Channel 4 has constructed its shortlist for its £20 million media pitch. Step forward OMD UK, ZenithOptimedia, Mediaedge:cia and Aegis Media. We suppose "Aegis Media" mainly means Carat, as Vizeum handles five. However, it also indicates that Carat's planning to chuck Isobar at the pitch, something that's served it well in previous reviews.

Bloomin' heck! Homebase has delayed its result. It was meant to come at the end of last week, but we're now hearing that there won't be any news until next week.

Further scraps from Shop are coming to the fore. We hear that Christian Aid is at the AAR, while Green Flag is with creativebrief.

Err ... speaking of creativebrief, we're told it's hearing the phrase "thanks, but no thanks" a lot recently. Word has it that it's helping a Russian vodka brand find an agency partner. The lucky shop will then have its work run in ... Russia.

Who'd have thought that the direct marketing portion of COI's anti-obesity pitch would be so troublesome. Having missed its deadline of announcing a winner last week, we hear that the list of four agencies (Craik Jones Watson Mitchell Voelkel, EHS Brann, Partners Andrews Aldridge and Tullo Marshall Warren) has been shortened to two.

COI is now planning to conclude proceedings this week.
