Pitch update

By the end of this week, there should be Champagne corks popping. Homebase is expected to give its final verdict (good luck, CHI & Partners and Leo Burnett).

Also close to making a decision is Health Lotteries, which is going through the AAR. WCRS, Delaney Lund Knox Warren & Partners and VCCP are battling it out. Halifax, meanwhile, has gone into research. However, agencies are still expecting a fairly swift result.

There are some angry DM agencies out there at the moment, following news that bmi has decided to call off its DM pitch.

Similarly, there's confusion surrounding the 118 118 digital pitch, which was down to GT and Agency Republic. The latest we're hearing is that the contest has been put on hold indefinitely.

The UK Film Council appears to have put together a quality list for its digital brief. Profero, Tribal DDB, Global Beach and Blue Barracuda have not been put off by the tiny budget.

And finally ... it seems agencies are losing faith in the Legal & General media pitch. PHD is said to have pulled out, and it seems that Mediaedge:cia is no longer involved (although its WPP stablemate MindShare is said to be joining the fray).
