Pitch update

Thank goodness for The Sun, which has lent a little bit of excitement to an otherwise dry new-business summer.

Rumour has it the media owner is approaching a robust list of only London's healthiest ad agencies. The only strange thing about the review is that News International has yet to appoint the marketer with ultimate responsibility for the paper.

The Boots media pitch is progressing. It has scheduled chemistry meetings with agencies including OMD UK, Starcom, Universal McCann and Vizeum.

Halifax's creative review appears to be reaching something resembling a conclusion. Final presentations from DDB and the incumbent, Delaney Lund Knox Warren & Partners, have now taken place and a result is due on 5 August.

It seems Ogilvy, JWT and Euro RSCG have been kicked off the Glamour pitch. This leaves DDB Paris in the hot seat.

Orange's £75 million media pitch is advancing slowly. Final pitches are scheduled for mid-August, with a result expected a month later. I-level, Vizeum, Mediaedge:cia and the incumbent, Initiative, are in contention.
