Pitch update

It's going to be a busy weekend full of sleepless nights for the folks at Mother and Publicis. Both agencies give their final presentations to Stella on Monday, with a result expected shortly.

Wired magazine is nearing a decision on its media pitch, but with several agencies in the running, the Conde Nast publication has a tough choice ahead. Meanwhile, the pitch for its creative business is also underway, with AnalogFolk, Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R, Hurrell Moseley Dawson & Grimmer and DDB all involved. AnalogFolk, RKCR/Y&R and DDB pitched this week, while HMDG presents its ideas on Monday.

Next Tuesday should see a result on the Anadin pitch. The agencies in contention - Leo Burnett, Krow, CHI & Partners and RKCR/Y&R - have been waiting for some time (read forever). Word has it the delay was due to the need to get clearance from the relevant authorities on the original brief's premise that Anadin is the strongest ibuprofen on the market.

Despite OMD UK being heavily tipped to secure Boots' media planning and buying account, an official result has yet to be revealed. Rumour has it that Starcom MediaVest is definitely out of the running, but the incumbent, MediaCom, which defended the account, has yet to hear about a final decision.
