The UK Milk Marketing Forum's pitch, through the AAR, kicks off later this week, with agencies including Delaney Lund Knox Warren & Partners and M&C Saatchi battling it out for the brief.
Media agencies: are preparing themselves for the next big pitch: the contest for Vodafone's £58 million UK planning and buying account. Chemistry meetings with agencies kick-off next week as OMD UK looks to defend the business.
While conflict appears to rule out many of OMD's leading rivals (for instance, Group M's three main agencies all have telecoms accounts), shops including Carat, MPG and Universal McCann would be free to pitch for the business. With BT having selected the Publicis agencies Starcom MediaVest Group and Zed Media, as well as Mediaedge:cia's recent capture of the Orange account, it will be interesting to see if OMD benefits from a reduced field when repitching.
And finally ... there's still no confirmation on the Boots media planning and buying result. All seems to have gone quiet with sources indicating that the agencies still involved (the incumbent, MediaCom, and OMD UK) are experiencing an unnerving silence from Boots HQ in Nottingham.
