Pitch update

The National Accident Helpline has formed a shortlist for its £10 million creative and media account.

The full-service agencies Media Campaign and MCHI are pitching for the combined business against agency pairings of Hurrell Moseley Dawson & Grimmer with Zed Media, CST and MediaVest Manchester, and MBA with Universal McCann London.

The Pensions Regulator DM review is turning into one of the most farcical pitches of the year. Having last month accidentally revealed the name of all 23 agencies involved in the process by forgetting to blind copy the recipients, the organisation has now suffered more e-mail problems by only just realising that the RFI it had sent out last week had not made its way to any of the participating shops. Yet, despite only getting around to resending the RFI a week later, the deadline for which agencies have to return the submission remains unchanged.

The pitch for the film distribution company Momentum Pictures' £9 million media business took place last week. Agencies competing for the account, including the incumbent, Target Media, OMD, Arena BLM and Carat, are now waiting on tenterhooks for the result.

Sadly not the case in the battle between Bartle Bogle Hegarty and DDB for the Flora account, which still remains clogged up in a painstaking state of research.
