Pilgrims Choice, the cheddar cheese brand that attracted an impressive shortlist of agencies when it called a pitch for its UK advertising business in September, looks set to hand its advertising account to Campbell Lace Beta.

The news comes despite speculation earlier this week that the account was heading to Elvis, following a pitch that also involved VCCP and the incumbent, WFCA Integrated.

Well, hang on to your hats, the operator of the ferry service to the Outer Hebrides, Calmac Ferries, is looking for someone to handle its media planning and buying. We anticipate big agency networks banging down Calmac's door to get on to that one.

One of the long-running DM pitches is down to three - MRM London and Rapp will compete against the incumbent, Proximity, for the TV Licensing account after OgilvyOne was knocked out.

And after a ten-month process, originally involving a longlist of 12 agencies, DraftFCB will finally get to defend its Post Office DM account against Tullo Marshall Warren and OgilvyOne in the final pitch stage next week, after Lida was eliminated.
