POP: Walkers fights back with POP attack in pubs

Walkers Snacks is fighting for share of incremental sales in pubs with the roll-out of POP featuring the strap line "Get the Walkers in".

The activity comes as competitor KP runs heavy TV advertising for its McCoy's brand around the "Bag of best" execution showing lads in pubs "necking" bags of crisps.

Beer mats, table talkers and posters, designed by agency Cubo, will be distributed to major pub chains and independents over the next two months.

The push follows Cubo's text-and-win activity for Walkers in February last year, which involved consumers answering football-related questions featured on POP material in pubs.

Additional POP will enter pubs in August.
