Outdoor specialist Poster Publicity has bought space on the sides

of 30 lorries as part of a campaign for client EasyJet.

The juggernauts will travel up and down the M1 and M6, advertising

EasyJet’s new route, Liverpool to Luton, with the copy lines: ’Why drive

if you can fly? Liverpool to Luton return from pounds 30’ and ’The

motorway we use is always clear.’

EasyJet’s marketing manager Ruth Start said: ’Using a fleet of lorries

to advertise an independent product is a relatively new concept, but

with a route such as Liverpool-Luton, our passengers would have

previously either driven or caught the train. Targeting drivers while

they’re experiencing the stresses and strains of the motorway seems like

an ideal opportunity.’

The trailers were provided by In Your Space, a fledgling outdoor company

set up by managing director Jonathan Bramley, who negotiated the deal

with Poster Publicity. ’I set up the company because clients were

looking for alternatives to traditional media,’ said Bramley.

’This deal uses trailers to full effect. As a medium, I expect it will

be popular with clients in the travel and automotive industries,’ he

added.
