Private Patients Plan is aiming to convince companies to extend

their employee healthcare coverage beyond health insurance for senior

With the cost of absence due to sickness in the UK currently estimated

to be worth around pounds 13bn a year, PPP believes it is developing a

new sector for corporate healthcare and is backing its ’Employee

Support’ range with a pounds 1m direct mail campaign and pounds 500,000

press campaign through M&C Saatchi.

The initiative will offer companies an integrated package of services,

which will include a 24-hour stress counselling service, trauma

counselling, a health information line and legal and financial advice,

which will be available to all employees.

Chris Webster, head of brand marketing for PPP healthcare, said Employee

Support is the first time the company has used the PPP brand to target

the corporate market since the range launched two years ago.
