TBWA Simons Palmer and Bartle Bogle Hegarty shared top honours at
the Campaign Poster Awards, held at the Grosvenor House Hotel on
TBWA Simons Palmer’s ’nylons’ ad for Pretty Polly took a gold for best
individual poster. Ads for Levi’s shrink-to-fit jeans - ’foot’, ’bath’
and ’dog’ - won BBH a gold for best poster campaign.
The ’nylons’ execution also took two silvers for best fashion, beauty or
toiletries poster and for the most innovative use of outdoor. ’Bath’ won
the silver award for best 48-sheet poster, best use of typography and
best use of photography.
BMP DDB’s ’jelly mould’ for the Volkswagen Sharan took silver in
Campaign’s inaugural readers’ award for best poster category.
WCRS’s work for Orange’s ’coverage’ campaign won a gold for the most
effective use of posters as the main medium. Faulds Advertising’s work
for the Scottish Tourist Board won a gold award for most effective use
of posters in a mixed-media schedule.
