- The newly merged PricewaterhouseCoopers has split its account between sister Interpublic agencies Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos and Ammirati Puris Lintas.
Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos will handle the business in the US while APL will handle the business internationally, including the UK.
The pitch came about following the merger of Price Waterhouse and Coopers & Lybrand, which was completed in July.
Price Waterhouse's agency of record McCann-Erickson declined to pitch for the combined account. Coopers & Lybrand's advertising had been handled by Hill, Holliday since 1992.
Although billings were not disclosed the combined global account is estimated to be worth $50-60 million.
For Hill, Holliday the win follows that of the US Boston Beer Company, which this week awarded the agency its estimated $12 million account.
