Pride in London highlights the impacts of the coronavirus on the LGBT community.
With Pride events across the globe postponed, the ad shows the need for support and solidarity among LGBT communities by providing an insight into the lives of its members. While a gay couple share their fortune in being in lockdown together, a transgender Colchester resident reveals she hasn’t been able to attend many of her appointments due to the pandemic.
The ad ends with the encouraging message that although Pride has been postponed, London’s LGBT community is "still united".
This comes alongside a series of out-of-home ads, one of which reads: "You share a history with me! Now it’s time for us to create a future we are all proud of". Likewise, radio ads discuss the strength of the LGBT community through the decades – from Stonewall to 2020 – remarking that "our cry must be louder than ever before".
"You! Me! Us! We!" marks Anomaly’s first work for Pride in London since winning the nonprofit’s creative account in December last year. Launched alongside social and print activity, the work was directed by Jess Kohl through Prettybird UK.
