Mustard's creative director, Ed Pritchard, has become the latest
member of senior management to leave the agency.
Pritchard is said to have been asked to leave the agency by John
Gellett, the chief executive of Mosaic Group Marketing Services, the
owner of Mustard.
Mustard was created in January through a merger of Stretch the Horizon,
ZGC, Dialogue and Creative IQ. Kevin Scott, the former creative director
of Dialogue, will become the sole creative director at Mustard.
The agency has lost several directors this year including its managing
director, Samantha Smith. Smith was appointed last summer to work on the
merger of the three agencies and run the new operation. Mustard is
thought to be looking for a replacement for Smith.
Pritchard, who was formerly the deputy creative director at Stretch the
Horizon, is thought to be doing freelance work at Team LGM while he
considers his future. He is a well-known copywriter and has run
copy-writing courses.
His departure from Mustard follows that of other senior Stretch the
Horizon management, including the founders, Mark Sheard and Steven
Penny. Stretch the Horizon and Dialogue moved into ZGC's Chelsea offices
following the merger and Mustard insiders suggest that ZGC, which built
its reputation on running a large part of Coca-Cola's sales promotion
account, has become the dominant culture.
Mustard's clients include Reebok, NatWest, Royal & Sun Alliance and
Rothmans.
Pritchard and Gellett were unavailable for comment as Campaign went to
press.
