BRUCE CROUCH - Creative director, partner, Soul

Crouch began at DDB, working on Volkswagen and winning D&AD Silver at the age of 21 for Swan Vestas matches. He then joined BBH for a decade, winning Cannes Golds for Boddingtons and D&AD Silvers on Murphys. When John Hegarty left for New York he became sole creative director. He later formed Soul with four other directors of BBH.

STEVE HENRY - Creative director, HHCL/Red Cell

Steve Henry started his career as a copywriter for GGT, and then went on to become a Group Director at WCRS. In 1987 he set up Howell Henry Chaldecott and has worked with Danepak Bacon, Tango, Go, Guinness Ireland, Greenpeace and Iceland. HHCL recently became part of WPP's Red Cell network.

DAVE ALEXANDER - Joint creative director, Banks Hoggins O'Shea/FCB

Alexander began life in the post room at BMP DDB, before stints at various agencies including Delaney Fletcher Bozell. In 1996, he moved to Banks Hoggins O'Shea/FCB where he is joint CD with Rob Fletcher. His campaigns have won Silvers at The One Show and Cannes,and Gold at the New York Festival.

CARLOS SANZ DE ANDINO - Executive creative director, Contrapunto

Armed with a degree in Economics and Business Studies, Carlos Sanz de Andino began his career as a copywriter at the agency Contrapunto in 1992. Working his way up the agency ranks, he became Executive Creative Director: in 1997, with clients including Chrysler and Mercedes.

JOSE MARIA ROCA DE VINALS DELGADO - Executive creative director, Tandem DDB

Jose Maria Roca started out as a copywriter, leading him to his first creative director role at Vinizius Young & Rubicam. He joined Tandem DDB in 1998, where he was promoted to creative director of the VW Spain account. He is now the executive creative director.

JOSEP MARIA FERRARA TORRUELLA - Creative director, McCann-Erickson Barcelona

Starting out at MMLB, Ferrara Torruella moved to the Lorente Communications Group as creative director. In 1994 he moved to RCP/Saatchi & Saatchi, but started at his present agency in 1997. He has worked on accounts including Bacardi and Durex.
