The first Procter & Gamble interactive ad launched on Open last

week.

Charmin toilet roll is the first P&G brand to link a TV ad on Open to

its website.

A red button appears on the screen for the duration of the ad. Viewers

can press the button and click through to Open’s interactive

service.

A pop-up icon will appear with the words, ’free coupon and free fun from

Charmin’.

If the viewers press ’select’, they are taken to the Charmin interactive

environment.

A second P&G brand - Olay - will advertise on the Open service but

without a link-through TV spot.

The deal was negotiated directly between the Open sales team and

P&G.

Neil McCullon, sales manager at Open, said: ’With two new campaigns up

and running on Open, our advertising is growing from strength to

strength.

These are just the start of a long list of clients to launch into

interactive TV.’
