Dennis’s home shopping title PS is expanding and reorganising its

sales team in response to a hike in demand from advertisers.

The division of the sales team into client and agency sales

responsibilities has been abandoned. The six-strong team will now

operate across agencies and clients, selling display and mail order

advertising.

Tracey Davies has been promoted from client sales manager to advertising

director. Davies moved to PS from Dennis’s lifestyle portfolio, where

she was business development manager. She reports to group sales

director Annette Burns, who previously took direct responsibility for

the PS team.

Helen Green moves from agency sales manager to become advertising

manager for the whole team. Green joined PS at its launch from Emap’s

youth magazines.

A senior sales executive is now being sought urgently to augment the

team. Graduate Vicky Henneberry has been recruited as a junior sales

executive and will launch a classified section in PS.

In its first three issues, PS has booked 219 pages of ads. Burns said

she intended to exploit the home shopping market among smaller

retailers, such as House and the Island Trading Company.

Contradicting industry rumours, Burns said Dennis was happy with the

magazine’s copy sales.
