Psion to review £10m European account

The company currently uses a roster of agencies, which includes FTC, Spirit Advertising and Dutton Merrifield. Media buying is handled on a country by country basis. In the UK it is run through John Ayling & Associates, which is tipped to hang on to the account.

The review follows the appointment of the former Microsoft executive, Alasdair Seton-Marsden, as the firm's new marketing director.

Psion produces a range of hand held computing devices including the newly launched Revo and Series 3 and 5 devices. It competes head-to-head with Microsoft's operating system, Windows CE, and with the 3Com-owned Palm Computing.
