- The Woolwich has appointed Publicis to its £10 million ($16 million) creative advertising account, following a head-to-head pitch against incumbent agency Ogilvy & Mather.
The former building society, now converted to a bank, called the review in February. It invited two agencies to pitch against O&M, which has run the account for over 70 years.
Bartle Bogle Hegarty, the third agency asked to make presentations, was eliminated from the running last week.
The advertising review is part of a larger revamp of its marketing operations, which has been underway since it converted two years ago. The company underwent a major restructure last year, which saw it split its centralised marketing operation into individual business units.
