Publicis Dialog lands pan-Euro creative task for US PC supplier

PeoplePC, a PC supplier offering consumers and businesses

affordable internet access, has appointed Publicis Dialog to its

pan-European creative account.

Publicis won the account after a three-way pitch. PeoplePC is expected

to spend well into seven figures on press and outdoor activity in key

European markets.

The first campaign for PeoplePC breaks later this month and uses the

line 'Be part of it' to encourage businesses to invest in PCs for their

employees. PeoplePC started as a consumer PC provider in the US but now

also works with companies to put internet-enabled PCs into the homes of

their employees.

Adam Sutner, the marketing director of PeoplePC, said: 'We chose

Publicis Dialog for its ability to help us develop the voice of our

brand and for its understanding of how to engage a very diverse target

audience.'

Simon Marshall, the managing director of Publicis Dialog, said: 'There's

real vision at PeoplePC. Its mission is to help bridge the digital

divide and its championing of this cause gave a very strong direction to

our development of the communications strategy.'

The 'Be part of it' campaign was art directed by Rod Marsh and the

copywriter was Paul Kendall. Media is through Optimedia.

PeoplePC also works with companies including Ford and Delta Airlines -

providing PC access for employees.
