Publicis hires Lowe Paris' Philip Purdon

Philip Purdon, the chief executive of Lowe Paris, has been hired by Publicis London to run its $100 million global Pernod Ricard account.

Reporting to Publicis' UK group chairman, Tim Lindsay, he will join as the worldwide account director, with direct responsibility for brands including Stolichnaya, Ballantine's and Beefeater gin.

Purdon, who has worked in France for 20 years, has experience of the Pernod Ricard business, having worked on the account while he was the TBWA\Paris chief executive.

Lindsay said: "With the rare ability to be French to the French and English to the English and his global account management and agency leadership experience, Philip will not only be an asset to Publicis in the UK, but also the perfect match for Pernod Ricard."
