Rick Bendel, group chairman of Publicis Group UK, becomes regional chairman covering the UK, the Nordic and the Baltic countries.

Walter van der Mee, who until now looked after the Nordic and Baltic regions, takes on Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Benelux countries. Maurice Levy, president of Publicis, said: "Georg Baums' leadership is one big reason why Publicis' growth in Europe has been and continues to be remarkably strong. When he joined us in 1989, we were only among the top 15 agencies in Germany; today we are a solid number three."
