The decision aligns The Glenlivet, a malt whisky, with other Chivas Brothers’ brands at Publicis, such as Ballantines and Beefeater.

Ogilvy Group UK won the global business for The Glenlivet in April 2006 following a final pitch, handled by the Agency Assessments, against M&C Saatchi.

Publicis has been briefed to develop the second phase of advertising to highlight the unique credentials of The Glenlivet brand. The campaign will initially launch in the US before rolling out globally.

The Glenlivet has been crafted in the Livet valley since 1824. Last year, it sold 600,000 nine-litre cases around the world.

Martin Riley, the international marketing director for Chivas Brothers, said: We have already been impressed by Publicis’ dynamic team and the creative work they have produced for other international brands within the portfolio and we look forward to more of the same for The Glenlivet.

Chivas Brothers portfolio includes Chivas Regal, Ballantine’s, Beefeater Gin, The Glenlivet, Royal Salute, Aberlour, Longmorn, Scapa, 100 Pipers, Clan Campbell, Something Special and Passport.
