Haworth is responsible for managing R/GA London’s creative teams and creative work across all accounts, as well as developing talent.
He will report to Rodrigo Sobral, the vice-president and executive creative director. Sobral and James Temple, the senior vice-president, managing director and executive creative director, are responsible for the agency’s overall creative strategy and direction.
Haworth has been the group creative director at AKQA for the past eight years. He worked on Marks & Spencer, Beiersdorf, Vodafone and Nike. Last week, Nike appointed R/GA as the retained agency on its European football account.
Sobral said: "Phil’s unique creative vision and history of delivering world class, award-winning campaigns will help us continue to lead the way when it comes to creating truly end-to-end work."
