RAJAR, the Radio Joint Audience Research Body, has appointed Paul Kennedy as research director.

Kennedy, 42, is moving to RAJAR from RSBM Television research where he has managed the BARB Establishment Survey and other large scale research projects. He takes up the position in early March.

RAJAR, jointly owned by the BBC and Commercial Radio Companies Association, hopes that Kennedy will build on its research reputation.

Jane O'Hara, managing director of RAJAR, said: "Paul is highly regarded and has extensive experience in broadcast media research."

The next set of RAJAR figures, which are published quarterly, are announced next week.
