Rapier has appointed several new directors, including John Hiney,
the former Modem Media director.
Hiney, previously director of marketing strategy at Modem, is joining
Rapier as a client business director. He is joined by Martin Langley,
the former WWAV Rapp Collins deputy creative services director, who
becomes creative services director.
A key task for Hiney is to further develop the agency's digital
activity.
Langley has experience of creative services issues in high-volume
mailings and complex communications delivery.
Other hirings include Max Wright, a planner from BMP DBB, who will have
a key role in developing training programmes across the agency. The
agency is also bolstering its data planning department with the hiring
from the data group CACI of Richard Tomlinson, as the data analysis
director, and Kath Ginn, a principal consultant, who joins from the
customer relationship management consultancy Sophron.
Rapier's clients include AXA, Channel 4, HSBC, ntl and American
Express.
The hirings follow the recent appointment of Gill Davies as head of
planning.
