Ray Leach Orlov has cut its connection with Count Alexei Orlov’s

communications group and set up in partnership with Emery Mclaven Orr,

the Swindon agency that made headlines when it won the Nationwide

account earlier this year.

Ray Leach EMO is based in London and has retained all RLO’s clients,

including Morgan’s Spiced Rum and Mates condoms.

Glenn Orr, the managing director of EMO, said: ’I have known Stuart

Leach for a few years and, when difficulties arose at the Orlov group, I

began conversations with him. We have given them backing and finance in

return for their advertising expertise and creative ability.’

The EMO group, which has three offices and claims pounds 29 million in

billings, has been looking to set up in London for the past 18 months.

The Swindon shop sells itself as a second agency and lists Rover, BMW

and Mobil among its clients.

Stuart Leach, managing director of Ray Leach EMO, said: ’This is a

massive opportunity for us. EMO has given us solid support and let us

get on with it.’

Ray Leach EMO’s first work breaks next week with a campaign to launch a

Mates product called Duet, a combination of condoms and spermicidal

pessaries.
