Perspective Publishing has launched a magazine aimed at lads who
want to line their pockets.
Real Money is for the young adult male who is growing up and ’wants to
see his money multiply with age’.
The new title is targeted at a younger age range and will include
features on mortgages, pensions and how to avoid getting ripped off.
John Woods, managing director of Perspective Publishing, claimed that
there are no magazines available specifically for the young who want to
invest for life.
’There are a lot of magazines for experienced or older investors but
nothing for the 25 to 40 age group.
’Real Money will have a lifestyle approach but will also deal with
serious issues. There will be facts and advice on pensions alongside
stories on how you can become a professional gambler,’ said Woods.
The new magazine will employ 17 staff and goes on sale this week at WH
Smith, John Menzies and Tesco with an initial print run of 35,000.
’There is to be a major advertising campaign focusing on buses and the
London Underground plus a direct mail approach. There will also be some
in-store promotions and bits in the national press,’ said Woods.
The launch issue went on sale this week priced pounds 2.50.
Coincidentally, Real Money launches in the same week as Shares, a new
magazine which also targets the youth sector, but focuses more
specifically on the stock market.
