Red Bull picks Elvis for digital ad task

Red Bull, the energy drinks manufacturer, has appointed Elvis to handle its digital advertising work.

The agency picked up the business after a pitch against undisclosed agencies.

It will now handle a series of brand campaigns, using digital, sales promotion and experiential activity.

Red Bull works with a number of agencies across its advertising roster. Its TV work in the UK is handled by Kastner & Partners, which has created a series of animated ad campaigns using the strapline "Red Bull gives you wings."

However, the majority of Red Bull’s marketing focus is on its sponsorship activity. The energy drink is the title sponsor of the International Freestyle Motocross Championship and is behind the Red Bull Air Race competition.

The company also owns sports teams including Red Bull Racing and Scuderia Toro Rosso in Formula One, and the US Major League Soccer side New York Red Bulls.

Red Bull distributes a free monthly sports and lifestyle magazine, The Red Bulletin, in The Sunday Telegraph.
