- US retail giant JCPenney has appointed UK contract publishing firm, Redwood, to a £6m deal to publish a customer loyalty magazine aimed at the teenage market.
The magazine, to be called Noise, will be published in the autumn. It will have a circulation of around 3.5 million copies, which will be distributed throughout the company's 500 department stores.
Redwood, which is part of the Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO group, won the contract to publish the magazine following a pitch against several US firms.
The win, which marks Redwood's debut in the US market, is the company's biggest to date. In the UK it also publishes magazines including the Sky TV Guide.
