On World Suicide Prevention Day, the charity Refuge called attention to the fact that three women a week are thought to take their own lives to escape domestic abuse.
Refuge is calling on the government to commit to specialist services for all survivors of abuse, particularly those who are so distressed that they have considered suicide. Two billboards across London highlighted this grave risk among women who are facing domestic violence. The work was created by Grace Chambers and Lucy Johnstone at BBH London.
