Retail News: Boots set to sell hairdresser line

Boots has signed an exclusive distribution deal with Mark Hill, hairdresser of the year, for his new haircare range. It is part of Boots' strategy to feature 'halo brands'.

The 17-product range, called Mark Hill Hair Cosmetics, is due to go on-shelf in September. It will be backed by point-of-sale activity and a branded unit within premium haircare sections in-store.

Extensive promotions in Boots' Health & Beauty magazine, which is sold in stores and given free to its Advantage Card holders, will run in the lead-up to the launch.

The range, which includes shampoos, conditioners and styling products, will be priced from £6.49 and is designed to complement Hill's existing range of electrical hair-styling products.
