Rupert Murdoch's BSkyB is in talks that could result in it
acquiring a stake in Channel 5. The move would fulfil the media tycoon's
long-standing ambition to break into mainstream terrestrial television
in the UK. BSkyB has spent the past month in talks with Channel 5, which
has achieved a 5.8 per cent share of the British audience with its
