REVIEW: The ITC propoes to cut annual cash sum that Five pays

The ITC is proposing to cut the annual cash sum that Five pays for its analogue television licence from £24.6 million per year to £4.4 million per year, linked to RPI, if the station chooses to renew the licence. However, Five will have to pay the Treasury 8 per cent of its qualifying revenue, compared with nothing at present. This qualifying revenue is mainly made up of advertising and sponsorship revenue. - General release.
