The BBC is understood to be opening talks with Granada and Carlton

about helping to fund free set-top boxes. ONdigital, in which Granada

and Carlton have invested pounds 300 million, is thought to be concerned

that the BBC is not paying enough toward the boxes, which allow

customers to receive BBC digital channels for free. - The Daily
