REVIEW: WPP purchases 25 per cent of Shanghai Advertising

WPP has purchased 25 per cent of China's state-owned advertising agency Shanghai Advertising. The move makes WPP the first Western advertising group to buy a stake in a Chinese agency. The purchase was motivated by the WPP group chief executive Sir Martin Sorrell's belief that China will become one of the top three markets within the next ten years. No sum was disclosed for the deal. - Financial Times.
