Revlon seeks digital agency for Charlie

Revlon is on the hunt for a digital agency to reinvigorate its Charlie portfolio of perfumes for teenagers.

The company has contacted a number of digital shops and a brief will be issued to agencies by the end of this week.

The winning agency will work across the Charlie range of fragrances and sub-brands including Blue, Gold, Silver, Red, Instinct and Urban Energy. The brief is expected to include digital advertising, website and microsite design.

The company's last high-profile advertising campaign was created by Wieden & Kennedy in 2004, with interactive support from glue London. W&K won the business from Rainey Kelley Campbell Roalfe/Y&R in 2002, but the account has remained dormant for the past few years.

Charlie, which launched in 1973, became a market leader with an ad campaign fronted by Shelley Hack, the Charlie's Angels actress.

Media for the brand is globally aligned into Starcom MediaVest Group.

Revlon did not return calls.
