Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R and Carat have been appointed to handle advertising and media business for the launch of buy.com, the online computer and electrical store.
The appointment was made by News International and Softbank owned internet investment firm, eVentures. Buy.com is its first UK brand.
Also appointed were Lowe Direct, for direct marketing, and the Promotions Factory, to handle sales promotion.
VW names BMP Interaction to internet business
LONDON (Campaign) Volkswagen has appointed BMP Interaction to handle it's internet business following a three-way pitch against MediaCom TMB Interactive and one other agency.
The move has forced BMP DDB, which Interaction was spun out of, to resign the Vauxhall interactive account that it had held for a year.
The account had formerly been handled by Carat Interactive. Carat lost the account following the loss by sister agency, BBJ Media Services, of the £80 million media buying account earlier this year.
