Chief customer officer
Terrell joined Tesco in 2013 and was appointed chief customer officer in a restructure of the marketing team. It has been a challenging period for Tesco and there is no doubt that Terrell has one of the most challenging roles in retail marketing, working closely with Michelle McEttrick to mastermind a major campaign that aims to reconnect the brand with consumers. A near-lifer in retail – with the exception of a stint in accountancy (he is a qualified accountant) – Terrell has a strong commercial background and was head of multichannel at the grocer prior to this role. He has also had stints at Wilko, House of Fraser, John Lewis and Amazon.
