- Roger Banks, chief executive officer for Asia/Pacific at the WPP Group-owned Research International, is set to return to London to take up a new role at the company's headquarters.
Banks has been appointed to the position of chief executive Asia/Pacific and continental Europe at Research International. He will take up his new position in September.
Banks will not be directly replaced. Instead his duties will be split between Astrid Carl-Zeep, currently chief executive of Research International Germany, who will move to Singapore to become chief executive of Southeast Asia and Lena Lambropoulou take on North Asia, including China, South Korea, and Taiwan, from her base in Tokyo.
Lambropoulou will in addition to her new role will remain in place as chief operating officer of Research International Japan. In Germany Carl-Zeep will be succeeded by her deputy Frank VoehlHitscher. In Singapore she will be responsible for overseeing activity in Australia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand.
