Rooney appears in a dream sequence where the fan is a goalkeeper facing a penalty to be taken by a giant version of the Manchester United player.
Other players appearing include Barcelona's Gerard Pique and Real Madrid's Kaka.
The 60-second spot came out of a team including executive creative directors Mark Bernath and Eric Quennoy, creative directors Mike Farr and Pierre Janneau, art director Craig Williams and copywriter Zach Watkins.
It was directed by Henry-Alex Rubin and produced by Smuggler, with post production by The Mill.
