Ruth Henderson has been appointed as senior strategist, while Laurel Davis will join as head of creative communications.

Henderson will join the strategy team to focus on social, brand and innovation. Having previously headed up strategy at social content agency Redpill, she brings a wealth of experience to the role and has worked on projects including national rebrands, product innovation for start-ups, brand consultancy and creative copywriting.

John Vicars, strategy director at RPM, said: "Ruth brings further diversity to the strategy team as we continue to build our capability across brand, commercial and the challenge of increasingly complex integrated context planning."

Ruth Henderson, senior strategist at RPM, added: "RPM is a brilliant balance of all the things I value the most. Smart strategy, impactful creative and a genuinely nurturing and collaborative working culture. Their creative output delivers meaningful results time and time again."

RPM's new head of creative communications, Laurel Davis, joins from Ogilvy Brisbane, where she held the role of creative director. Davis has over 13 years of industry experience, and has developed creative campaigns for a diverse range of global and local brands across fashion, FMCG, leisure and entertainment.

Davis will be working with director of creative and strategy, Rob Wilson, leading a team of five with responsibility for developing integrated ideas and strategies which aim to showcase the power of brand experience and brand activations.

Laurel Davis, head of communications at RPM, comments: "I really believe in building brands around people, on creating genuine experiences, finding those little nooks where clever opportunities lie and making work that really connects. RPM’s experience-first ethos and collaborative, inclusive agency culture really resonated with me. I’m excited to play my part in driving their already outstanding creative potential even further."

Rob Wilson, director of creative and strategy at RPM, added: "We’re delighted to welcome Laurel to RPM, she brings a wealth of experience working in all channels and media and developing agency talent and has a real passion for the craft of creativity."

At the beginning of this year, RPM reported a 24.2% increase in turnover, as well as increase of 23.5% in gross profit for the year ending 31 March 2016.
