One of the last remaining full-service agencies, RPM3, is to hive
off its media department into a separate agency, merging it into the
media specialist, John Ayling & Associates.
RMP3’s media billings were almost pounds 20 million last year, but that
figure put the agency at the tail end of the top 40 media players. Its
billings are expected to be slightly down this year and the decision was
taken to pool billings with another company.
John Ayling & Associates had media billings of pounds 68 million last
year, enough to scrape into the top 20.
The RPM3 media team will move wholesale into John Ayling & Associates’
offices and all clients, such as Austin Reed, will move with them.
RPM3’s media director, Tim Irwin, left the agency last week to join
BJK&E to work on the Mercedes-Benz media account.
RMP3 was one of the last remaining agencies to offer a full-service
proposition, combining media and creative services under a single agency
