Taylor joined Samsung in 2013, replacing Andrew Garrihy, who parted ways with the electronics company when it axed his role as part of a realignment of the marketing team. Before joining Samsung, Taylor was at Unilever, where he was involved in some of Lynx’s most famous campaigns. September’s launch of a £10m campaign, with TV spots featuring Lily Allen’s As Long As I’ve Got You for the Galaxy Alpha smartphone, were part of the brand’s continued push to use its marketing muscle to take on arch-rival Apple. Taylor’s professional orbit may gravitate around cuttingedge technology, but his personal passion is more downto- earth: his beloved football team, Blackburn Rovers FC.
