Saatchi & Saatchi hires senior planners

LONDON - Saatchi & Saatchi has appointed two senior planners called Faraaz Marghoob and Jason Lonsdale.

The former joins the agency from Altogether Digital where he was the managing partner running client services, planning and new business.

In his new role, he will be the senior planner on the agency's Toyota and Visa accounts.

Lonsdale will take up the role of regional planning director on T-Mobile across Europe.

He was formerly the senior planner, global at Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R working on accounts such as Land Rover and Palm.

Richard Huntington, the director of strategy at Saatchi & Saatchi, said: "In addition to Martin Smith's recent arrival as head of planning, the appointment of this exceptionally talented pair reinforces Saatchi & Saatchi's commitment to strategic excellence."

Smith said: "The shared skill and experience Faraaz and Jason bring to the planning team will be a welcomed enhancement to our existing capabilities and will boost what is already an outstanding group of talent."
