State of the World Forum is a global network of political, media and business leaders, scientists, economists and entrepreneurs that meets annually with the goal of discussing global issues.

Co-chairs for this upcoming forum include Ted Turner and Desmond Tutu. Strategic issues to be discussed range from nuclear disarmament, to "digital apartheid" and the "New World Economic Disorder".

This year's State of the World Forum will take place from 27 October to 1 November at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco. More than 1,000 people from 50 countries around the world are expected to attend.

Saatchi & Saatchi will be involved in all phases of marketing from branding and advertising to the creation of a live conference Internet site.

In addition, as part of this year's forum, Saatchi & Saatchi will announce the Grand Prix winner of its $100,000 Innovation in Communication Award, which seeks to recognise and reward innovators whose creations promise to transform communication between people, companies, cultures and countries.
