- Saatchi & Saatchi Sydney has created what it calls a starkly honest ad campaign for No Frills Funerals & Cremations.
The campaign, which will run on Australian TV, radio and in the press, breaks away from the sentimentalists norms of funeral marketing and brings a touch of humour to the occasion by taking the point of view of the deceased.
The campaign sets out to convey the message that, for the deceased, regardless of price, all funerals are exactly the same.
The TV ad features a black screen with a classical music theme playing in the background. Text on the screen then appears and reads: "This is what it looks like when you're buried in a $25,000 funeral". It is followed by "this is what it looks like when you're buried in a $2,000 funeral".
The film ends with the No Frills logo and the line "When You're gone, you're gone".
