Saatchi & Saatchi’s charity project arm, Cause Connection, has put
together its first major project to unite companies and good causes for
mutual benefit.
The Saatchis client, Campbell’s, has linked up with the Asda supermarket
chain and the housing charity, Shelter, in a money-raising drive in the
run-up to Christmas.
Five pence from every can of Campbell’s soup sold in Asda’s Clapham and
Roehampton stores during December will be donated to Shelter.
Asda will also be running a ’Shelter Week’ from Monday 15 December, when
staff at the two stores will be involved in fundraising and customers
will be encouraged to make donations.
The three partners were brought together after Asda approached Shelter
with the initial concept of Shelter Week. The charity sought advice from
Saatchis, which helped to put the final deal together.
